Vallis Veg - Squash Crown Prince Grown At Vallis Veg

A beautiful blue-grey squash, firm-fleshed and hard-skinned, they have orange flesh and a rich favour.
We cut the squash to get the right weight as they are often very large.
To roast, cut into wedges, skin-on, slosh generously with olive oil, add a few bashed garlic cloves, and sprinkle with salt, pepper, chilli flakes and a few herbs such as bay, sage or thyme.
You can also add to soup or risotto, or even slice very small and add raw to salads.
These squash are grown by us in Frome.
