Wild Thyme - Trollius 'New Moon' - Globeflower
Large, creamy-yellow, double blooms are almost spherical and held on tall, stiff stems. They look like an oversized, toned down buttercup.
Forms attractive mounds of deeply dissected, dark green foliage.
In the wild, found growing in the damp margins of ponds and streams but in the garden these easy, hardy perennials are happy in any border where the soil doesn't dry out completely. (Mulch to prevent drying out in very hot summers or on more well-drained sites)
A really classy perennial.
Fully hardy. Height 60cm (2ft)
Blooms May to July. Cut back stems after flowering for a late summer flush of extra blooms.
